My inspiration for this piece are my older ways of thinking of emotions, especially ones labeled negatively. Anger, jealousy, among others. Emotions when you initially feel it, is it's purest form no matter how negative it is taught to be seen as. While my perception of “negative emotions” has changed, so is the way I process those emotions and how I will carry on afterwards as well. While I felt anger and hopelessness creating this, by the time I finished creating I felt a little more alive, and a little bit more at peace that I feel. I feel deeply no matter what emotion it is. And it allows me to be fully sad when the emotion arises, and in turn allows me to be fully happy and present in that emotion and my life.
